Don't miss Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre's New Year's Eve live-streamed play, Am I the Only One Here?
Am I the Only One Here? is a play developed through a collaborative partnership between Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre, Mudlark Theater, and Piven Theatre Workshop.
The show begins at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, December 31, and addresses the teenage performers’ experience with identity, race, their families, and what it's like being a high schooler during the pandemic.
"It’s funny, it’s powerful, it’s personal, and nearly all of the material is generated by the actors themselves," say Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre Artistic Director Tim Rhoze.
Following the performance, there'll be a panel discussion on Zoom Webinar featuring the ensemble and moderated by Olivia Nicholson.

About the Show:
Inspired by Tim Rhoze, the three Evanston-based theaters selected a Teen Devising Ensemble of actors and artists who've spent the fall months collaborating in devising and script-writing workshops, rehearsals, and filming vignettes. The Teen Devising Ensemble explores and centers the intersections and real-life impacts of identity, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the socio-political events of 2020 on today's youth.
The ensemble includes young actors Carmiya Bady, Matías Kruse, Alethea Koconis, Ca´ron Walker, and Moksha Paudel, along with young production team members Belise Gorleku (Stage Manager) and Amanda Thorsberg (Script Supervisor).
The production team includes Andrew Biliter (Devising Facilitator), Olivia Nicholson (Associate Devising Facilitator), and Tim Rhoze (Project Oversight). Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre, along with Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre, The Musical Offering, Dance Center Evanson, and Studio 5! recently joined forces to create the Evanston Performing Arts Collective (EPAC) with the mission of “Celebrating Life, Community and the Arts.”
"This community sharing and artistic partnership project will include a diverse ensemble of local actors, singers, dancers, musicians, and multidisciplinary artists, both amateur and professional, that will perform in EPAC installations," says Rhoze. "Our first installation will launch January 1st on YouTube!"
