The number of COVID-19 cases in Illinois continues to trend upward as state public health officials today announced 2,264 new known cases of COVID-19 and 25 additional confirmed deaths, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The state has now logged 202,691 cases overall.

The number of cases across the country now totals 5.3 million.
