If you've ever wondered how Evanston's municipal government works, this event at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10 is for you.


Community Alliance for Better Government (CABG) will host Mayor Daniel Biss, a former University of Chicago professor, who will explain the basics of Evanston government structure and explain how new laws are created.


There will be a Q&A following the presentation.

CABG is a grassroots campaign that supports racial equity, government transparency, and political leadership that espouses these goals.


CABG's President is Rick Marsh, its Vice President is Bennett Johnson, and Allie Harned is Secretary. Board members are: Oliver Ruff, Nick Korzeniowski, Lesley Williams, Diane Goldring, Gail Schechter, and Sebastian Nalls.
