Then, tomorrow, Monday, March 29 at 7 p.m., watch I Will Never Give Up, a new play written and performed by The Evanston PrimeTime Players & WiseUp Older Adult Theatre Club.
The virtual stage reading is a sincere, funny, and poignant story centering on the life journey of Ms. Aretha.
The story begins in 1950 as Ms. Aretha runs for Student Body President in a contentiously integrated high school. The play follows her amazing life "fighting for justice and equality for all people" for the next 70 years.
The diverse ensemble of non-professional actors, all members of the Evanston senior community, has poured their devoted hearts and souls into every nook and cranny of this outstanding play. You will love it!
The play will be broadcast on FJT's YouTube Channel.
Parental advisory: strong language.
