Thank you to Chicago Tribune columnist Heidi Stevens for covering the story of Mayra Jackson's family, who lost everything when an early-morning fire gutted their apartment last Wednesday, and the immediate and ongoing outpouring of support they've received from fellow Evanstonians.

Heidi's story was JUST published online, and will appear in the Trib's print edition tomorrow.
