Community Alliance for Better Government Zoom Conference on shaping equitable and robust democracy in Evanston
Friday, January 8 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, January 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m:
The folks at Community Alliance for Better Government will hold a Zoom conference during which residents will participate in shaping a platform for a robust and equitable Evanston democracy and learn how to get involved in supporting aldermanic and mayoral candidates who walk the progressive talk.
The conference will focus on developing the people’s platform to define what Government Transparency and Accountability should be in Evanston, including:
• Robust resident participation in government decision making
• Racial equity
• Holding elected officials accountable
• Organizing to “Get Out the Vote” for Aldermen, Mayor and City Clerk

Daniel Biss holds first in a series of Town Hall meetings
At 6 p.m. on Monday, January 11, mayoral candidate Daniel Biss' campaign will hold a Zoom Town Hall--the first in a series of virtual gatherings to provide space for residents to ask Biss questions and hear his plans for Evanston.
Biss is a former state senator and community organizer.
