Demarcus Cokley's mom Nadine just let me know that the service for Demarcus will take place next Wednesday, March 24 at Christ Temple Church Evanston, 1711 Simpson Street.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the service is at noon.
"People need to stop not telling what they see," Nadine told me, "and stand up for these kids because if we don't, no one else will."

Demarcus and Jose Sanchez Guerrero were shot and killed in Evanston last week.
Demarcus is the second of Nadine's sons to be killed by gun violence in Evanston.
Jose is the third son of Debbie Caluya to be killed by gun violence in Evanston.
Kyle Wilson was shot in the stomach and leg, and is recovering.
