Don't miss this fun event at Minouchic Boutique this Friday, November 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. -- mix and mingle, sip, share, shop, and support this Black-owned, woman-owned, local Evanston gem!
Haitian-born Evanston resident Mary Toussaint opened her boutique in 2013. It's located at 1900 Asbury and is a labor of love for Mary (and her sister Lynn, who helps on the operations side of the shop), offering new and resale clothing for women and men, accessories, jewelry, and stunning paintings by Haitian painter Harold Alvares, who paints with his mouth and feet because he doesn't have arms.
Covid-19 was hard on the Touissaint family and on their business. They could use all the love, support, and purchases Evanston can give them.
The sip 'n shop event is organized by Annette Jeter Jean-Jacques and Black Women of Evanston (BWoE) for all Evanstonians.
I'll be there on Friday! Let's go!
