Today, Friday, October 9 at 3 p.m., Michael Nabors, president of the Evanston/North Shore Branch NAACP, along with community members, leaders and clergy, will hold a news conference outside the Joseph E. Hill Center at 1500 McDaniel to show support for Evanston/Skokie School District 65 Superintendent Dr. Devon Horton, the administration, Anya Wiley Tanyavutti and the school board, in the face of the recent racist and threatening attacks they've received following their plan to allow priority spots to marginalized, particularly Black and brown students, in school buildings for in-person learning when the time comes.

For background and to read my interview with Anya Tanyavutti.

Read Pastor Nabor's letter responding to the threatening hate mail.
