Community Alliance for Better Government will hold a Zoom conference on shaping Equitable and Robust Democracy in Evanston.

Residents will participate in shaping a platform and learn how to get involved in supporting aldermanic and mayoral candidates who walk the progressive talk. Alliance for Better Government is a grassroots organization co-founded by Gail Schechter, Rick Marsh, and Oliver Ruff.
The conference will focus on developing the people’s platform to define what Government Transparency and Accountability should be in Evanston, including:
• Robust resident participation in government decision making
• Racial equity
• Holding elected officials accountable
• Organizing to “Get Out the Vote” for Aldermen, Mayor and City Clerk

Mayoral candidate Daniel Biss' campaign will hold a Zoom Town Hall--the first in a series of virtual gatherings to provide space for residents to ask Biss questions and hear his plans for Evanston.
